Seeing a gap in the industry, Susan Forman had the foresight to take a risk and founded Excelon Associates in 2007 as a staffing and recruitment firm focused on supporting positions of need in higher education. Today, Excelon Associates continues to recruit in the higher education space but has expanded significantly to represent healthcare, finance, and government opportunities as well.

Susan never set out to be a trendsetter as a woman business owner, but she has been highly successful in earning the trust and long-term loyalty of clients across the country and internationally. Her instinct for identifying the right leader for the right institution has been the foundation of Excelon's reputation since day one.

Her vision for Excelon Associates is to continue expanding access opportunities for qualified professionals in industry while ensuring that clients receive the best talent the market can offer. Under her leadership, the firm has grown from a single-focus startup to a nationally recognized retained search firm with offices in Asheville, Boca Raton, and Delray Beach.
