Director of Military Admissions – Sample Job Description

The Director of Military Admissions manages all aspects of the admissions process for current and prospective students within designated regions, focusing on military market penetration, lead generation, and student enrollments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote our client across assigned geographic territories, enroll qualified prospects, and ensure timely start of new students.
  • Deliver engaging presentations and lead-generating activities within territories as required.
  • Represent the organization at career fairs, both in-person and virtual, to expand network and develop strategic relationships.
  • Proactively follow up with potential students using various communication methods including phone, email, and direct mail.
  • Provide leadership and strategic guidance to achieve admissions goals and operational objectives.
  • Support campus leadership in coordinating veteran student activities and initiatives.
  • Drive key performance areas including Military Base development and visits, engaging with local and state veteran organizations, and fostering relationships with National Guard and Reserves.
  • Generate referrals through networking with instructors, students, graduates, and employers.
  • The Director of Military Admissions maintains accurate and timely documentation and reports.
  • Communicate daily with the Vice President of High School & Military Admissions.
  • Conduct weekly campus calls to offer training and guidance.
  • Extensive travel, up to 80% monthly, required.

Performance Metrics:

  • Effectively manage conversion rates, show rates, and start rates.
  • Lead management and event coordination.
  • Enhance referral generating activities.

This role requires a candidate with strong leadership capabilities, strategic planning skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
