General Liability Attorney – Sample Job Description

We’re seeking candidates with 1-3 years of expertise in insurance defense, ideally having handled General Liability cases. As an Associate Attorney, you will manage your own case files and collaborate closely with seasoned Partners, including the Chair of the General Liability department, to formulate litigation strategies that deliver outstanding service to our clients. A strong aptitude for writing and experience in reviewing medical records will position you as an ideal candidate. Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle and manage your own case files in General Liability matters.
  • Collaborate with senior partners and department chairs in strategizing and planning litigation approaches.
  • Provide high-quality legal service to our diverse client base.
  • Review and interpret medical records relevant to cases.
  • Draft legal documents, including but not limited to briefs, motions, and memoranda.
  • Engage in client consultations, depositions, and courtroom appearances.

Required Qualifications:

  • Professional Experience: At least 1-3 years of relevant work experience, particularly in insurance defense and General Liability.
  • Educational Credentials: Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited institution.
  • Bar Admission: Must be a member in good standing of the state bar.
