Web3 Curriculum Director – Sample Job Description
Our client is seeking a Web3 Curriculum Director to lead the development and implementation of blockchain and decentralized technology education programs. This role will be responsible for designing cutting-edge coursework covering blockchain fundamentals, smart contracts, decentralized finance (DeFi), NFTs, DAOs, tokenization, and cross-chain interoperability to prepare students for careers in Web3 and emerging digital asset ecosystems.
As a key leader in the institution’s blockchain education initiatives, the Web3 Curriculum Director will collaborate with faculty, industry experts, and technology leaders to create an academically rigorous and industry-aligned curriculum that reflects the rapidly evolving Web3 landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive Web3 curriculum, integrating topics such as blockchain infrastructure, tokenomics, DeFi, DAOs, NFTs, and smart contract development.
- Work with industry partners, blockchain organizations, and faculty to ensure the program remains relevant and aligned with emerging trends.
- Design online, in-person, and hybrid course offerings to expand accessibility for students.
- Implement hands-on learning experiences, including smart contract development, real-world blockchain applications, and decentralized governance case studies.
- Establish partnerships with blockchain companies, startups, and corporate sponsors to provide students with internship and career opportunities.
- Ensure curriculum meets academic accreditation standards and regulatory considerations for blockchain education.
- Oversee faculty development and training, equipping instructors with the knowledge and tools needed to teach blockchain concepts effectively.
- Lead educational research initiatives, securing grants and funding to support blockchain curriculum expansion.
- Collaborate with student organizations, blockchain clubs, and professional networks to integrate real-world engagement into the learning experience.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Blockchain Technology, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Five or more years of curriculum development and instructional design experience, preferably in higher education or technical training programs.
- Deep knowledge of blockchain ecosystems, smart contracts, DeFi, DAOs, tokenized assets, and cross-chain protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Ethereum, Solidity, Layer-2 solutions, decentralized applications (dApps), and blockchain development.
- Strong connections within the Web3 industry, with the ability to engage partners and build collaborative programs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and program management skills.
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS), online course development, and emerging educational technologies (VR, AR, Metaverse-based learning) is a plus.
