This role suits an educator who combines real-world industry experience with a genuine passion for preparing students to work at the frontier of emerging technology.
The Professor will contribute to curriculum development, student mentorship, and applied research, helping the institution build a distinctive blockchain program that reflects the evolving demands of fintech, financial services, and technology sectors.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in blockchain technology, distributed ledger systems, smart contracts, and decentralized finance
- Design curriculum that bridges theoretical foundations with practical application, incorporating current industry tools and platforms
- Mentor students on academic projects, career paths, and applied research in blockchain and emerging technology
- Stay current with rapidly evolving developments in the blockchain and Web3 space and incorporate them into course design
- Collaborate with industry partners and practitioners to enrich the program’s real-world relevance
- Participate in departmental governance, faculty committees, and institutional service responsibilities
Education, Experience, and Skills
- Hands-on experience with blockchain platforms such as Ethereum, Hyperledger, Solana, or equivalent
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for students at varying levels of technical background
- Commitment to inclusive pedagogy and student success in a rapidly evolving technical field
