Medical Radiography Instructor
Radiologic Technology Instructor
This is a full-time faculty appointment combining classroom instruction, laboratory facilitation, and clinical supervision. The Instructor will deliver program content aligned with ARRT standards and accreditation requirements, incorporate emerging technologies in instruction, and play an active role in program quality, student advising, and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses in Radiologic Technology according to established curricula and academic standards.
- Design dynamic, engaging instructional environments that promote student success across theory, lab, and clinical components.
- Guide and mentor students through classroom, laboratory, and clinical phases of the program.
- Maintain regular office hours for student advising and academic support throughout the semester.
- Participate in ongoing curriculum development, assessment of learning outcomes, and program improvement initiatives.
- Incorporate multimedia and innovative teaching technologies including virtual and augmented reality to enhance student learning experiences.
- Collaborate with faculty and department leadership to strengthen program quality and student outcomes.
- Engage in professional development and stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and clinical practices.
- Support accreditation activities, advisory board meetings, and institutional initiatives as required.
- Use the Canvas Learning Management System and other educational platforms to facilitate instruction and evaluation.
- Contribute to program review, student recruitment, and community engagement activities as needed.
Licensure and Certification Requirements

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Current ARRT certification (see above).
- California Department of Public Health CRT license (see above).
- Minimum of two years of professional experience as a licensed Radiologic Technologist.
Desirable Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology, Health Science, or Healthcare Administration.
- Prior teaching experience in higher education or clinical instruction settings.
- Advanced modality certifications such as CT, MRI, Mammography, or Nuclear Medicine.
- Experience with radiology information systems including RIS, PACS, and Epic, and familiarity with HIPAA compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate emerging technologies in instruction such as simulation and AR/VR platforms.
- Strong commitment to student development, equity, and inclusion.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
