Campus Director – Atlanta, GA

The Campus Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the institution, ensuring operational effectiveness and compliance with local, state, and federal laws. The director must be qualified to perform the duties of the position, engage in professional development activities annually, and implement policies and procedures in line with the institution’s mission and scope, as well as accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements.

Essential Responsibilities

Administration and Management

  • Plans, organizes, and administers the institution’s operations.
  • Provides leadership, motivation, and supervision to direct reports.
  • Recruits and supervises staff, ensuring they are trained and evaluated in their job responsibilities.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develops the institute’s business plan and operating budget in collaboration with the management team, program deans, and lead instructors.
  • Manages expense control, capital planning, and ensures profitability.
  • Facilitates collaboration between campuses and guides employees to ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Fosters a culture of ethical practices and adherence to the guidelines of government and accrediting organizations.
  • Coaches and mentors employees for professional growth in collaboration with the management team, program deans, and lead instructors.
  • Ensures the safety and security of the institution’s employees, students, records, physical assets, and facility.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Attributes: 

  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and collaboration skills, with experience in organizing and presenting technical reports and presentations.
  • Proficient in using a personal computer and related software, including Microsoft Office and the internet.
  • Knowledge of principles, practices, procedures, and governmental regulations related to the field of specialty, with the ability to interpret and apply rules to specific problems.
  • Proven experience in solving complex problems for individuals or teams, with the ability to analyze risks and identify ways to mitigate them.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete job responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Proven leadership skills, including experience in supervising employees, assigning work, training employees, and conducting job performance reviews.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision, while maintaining a high level of quality work product and output.
  • Interacts in a cooperative and professional manner with others, working in a team environment.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred.
  • At least 5-10 years of progressively responsible experience in an education/campus director/campus president role or related experience; at least 4 of those years in a supervisory role.
