Who Thrives as a Regional Recruitment Manager
This is a commercial role inside higher education, and the strongest candidates carry a number and own it. They treat the Americas like a sales territory, set the regional strategy, work the markets, and move prospective students from first inquiry through confirmed enrollment with prompt, consistent follow-up. Comfort working independently within a dispersed, matrixed team is essential, since this person is the institution’s presence on the ground.
Partnerships and the agent network are central to the job. People who do well here build relationships with community colleges, schools, sponsors, and pathway providers, support transfer agreements and articulation routes, and recruit, train, and manage agents and in-country representatives across priority markets. A solid grasp of the US education system and transfer pathways separates a good recruiter from a great one here.
Finally, the role rewards range and rigor. The right person presents confidently to students, parents, and partners in person and online, runs a clean CRM pipeline, reports honestly on KPIs and ROI, interprets data through tools like Power BI, and is willing to travel extensively across the Americas and internationally to reach the markets that matter.
