Campus President (Confidential Search) – Jackson, MS

Excelon Associates is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a private, career-focused education provider seeking a Campus President to lead its Jackson, Mississippi location.

This individual will serve as the senior on-site executive, responsible for driving academic quality, operational excellence, employee engagement, and financial performance. The Campus President will play a critical role in shaping the student experience, strengthening outcomes, and ensuring the long-term success of the campus.

Key Responsibilities
Academic & Student Experience Leadership

  • Ensure consistent delivery of curriculum in alignment with institutional standards and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor student success metrics, including retention, completion, and placement outcomes
  • Identify at-risk students and implement targeted intervention strategies
  • Oversee student services, career services, and externship programming to ensure high-quality support
  • Maintain compliance with accreditation standards and internal quality benchmarks
  • Utilize student feedback and performance data to continuously improve the educational experience
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of student concerns and complaints
  • Maintain campus facilities to support a professional and engaging learning environment

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Build and maintain a high-performance, high-accountability campus culture
  • Lead, coach, and develop department leaders and staff across academic and administrative functions
  • Establish clear performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations
  • Foster open communication and maintain strong employee engagement across all shifts and departments
  • Recruit, hire, and retain talent aligned with organizational values and mission
  • Address employee relations matters proactively and professionally
  • Identify and support ongoing professional development and training initiatives

Operational & Financial Management

  • Drive campus performance against enrollment, retention, and revenue targets
  • Partner with admissions and financial aid teams to support enrollment growth and student access
  • Monitor and manage campus budgets, expenses, and financial performance
  • Identify operational efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities
  • Represent the campus within the local community to enhance brand presence and partnerships
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and peer campus leaders to share best practices and improve performance
  • Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and organizational initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in higher education, career education, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of student lifecycle, including admissions, financial aid, and career services
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams, operations, and budgets
  • Proven ability to drive performance outcomes in a metrics-driven environment
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence, motivate, and execute

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $95,000 – $130,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off
