ABOUT THE POSITION
ImagingWorks is an entry-level job training program designed to prepare individuals for promising medical imaging careers. Spanning over 12 weeks, the program combines classroom instruction with clinical experience at eight to twelve clinical sites across Southern California. Students earn a wage while learning and gaining credits towards a statewide credential. The Program Director will oversee and ensure the delivery of this program in a high-quality manner that meets all regulatory standards and achieves desired outcomes.

The primary responsibility of the Program Director is to provide leadership and management for the ImagingWorks medical imaging career training program. This includes ensuring successful enrollment, classroom and clinical participation, program completion rates, and compliance with all regulatory standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum BS degree and three years of experience as a radiologic technologist
  • At least three (3) to five (5) years of supervisory/managerial experience
  • Group/classroom training experience
  • Knowledge of hospital and healthcare industry
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population, including low- to moderate-income individuals facing barriers to employment
  • Proficient with computers, Microsoft applications, and online learning management systems (LMS)
  • Experience with customer relationship management software (Salesforce) preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively and collaboratively with program participants, staff, employers, and community partners
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, resourcefulness, initiative, attention to detail, and strong written and oral communication skills
  • Public speaking capability and professional appearance
  • Strong coaching skills and ability to model appropriate workplace behavior

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Instruct online and in-person ImagingWorks classes as scheduled
  • Participate in academic planning and develop plans for individual modalities
  • Adjust curriculum, courses, and instructional plans to meet program needs
  • Monitor admission criteria and maintain student evaluation methodology
  • Identify participants in need of support and provide appropriate coaching, guidance, or referrals
  • Evaluate program capital requirements and request necessary equipment purchases
  • Represent the program externally to employers, partners, and regulatory bodies
  • Ensure instructors and coordinators attend required training sessions
  • Ensure pass rates on licensure exams meet minimum accrediting standards
  • Ensure compliance with safety, technical, and health policies
  • Monitor employers and graduates to assess success and provide job retention coaching as needed
  • Maintain accurate records, including class rosters, attendance, drop sheets, and graduation information
  • Ensure 100% compliance with Employment Training Panel (ETP) requirements
  • Engage in regular contact with AJCC regarding co-enrolled participants
  • Process and submit all required paperwork within scope of authority
  • Assist with recruitment, orientation, screening, and selection of program participants
  • Make presentations to internal and external groups as necessary
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with students, employers, partners, vendors, and staff
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership

The incumbent must be able to perform the following physical tasks:

  • Stand, sit, bend, and reach for extended periods
  • Climb stairs, stoop, and lift to move and retrieve materials
  • Push, pull, and lift materials
  • Perform manual dexterity tasks with computers and office equipment
  • Perform visual tasks, including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
