A leading institution is seeking a visionary Program Director to establish and lead a new Lineworker Training Program in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a unique opportunity to design and launch a comprehensive program, preparing future lineworkers for success in a high-demand industry.

Key Responsibilities
Program Development:

  • Design and implement a Lineworker Training Program that meets industry standards and employer expectations.
  • Develop a curriculum that includes electrical systems, safety protocols, equipment handling, and utility infrastructure.
  • Incorporate emerging technologies and trends to ensure the program remains innovative and competitive.

Facility & Equipment Setup:

  • Plan and acquire tools, safety gear, and training equipment required for hands-on learning.
  • Oversee the setup of training facilities, including simulated pole-climbing stations and electrical grids.
  • Ensure all equipment adheres to safety and regulatory standards.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Partner with local utility companies, industry leaders, and certification bodies to establish partnerships and support job placement.
  • Represent the program to recruit students and promote its benefits to the community and potential employers.

Instruction & Leadership:

  • Recruit and mentor faculty members to ensure top-quality instruction.
  • Define and implement program goals, policies, and performance metrics to track student success and job placement rates.
  • Teach select courses or seminars as needed to enhance program operations.

Program Accreditation:

  • Lead the program through accreditation and certification processes to build credibility and ensure compliance with state and national standards.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Technology, Engineering, Education, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the utility or lineworker industry, with strong knowledge of safety regulations, training requirements, and industry standards.
  • Proven expertise in program development, curriculum design, or technical training.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
