Pipefitting Instructor – Jacksonville, FL
As a Pipefitting Instructor, your primary responsibility is to guide and facilitate student learning by organizing and delivering comprehensive lessons. You’ll motivate students, identify their unique learning styles, and adapt your teaching methods accordingly. Other key aspects of the role include maintaining accurate records, providing student guidance, and enforcing school policies to create an effective and safe learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver lessons following the provided curriculum and guide students through practical, hands-on applications.
- Engage students through discussions, activities, and interactive teaching methods.
- Identify individual learning styles and adjust teaching techniques accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and grades.
- Advise students on attendance, grades, discipline, and school policies.
- Create and sustain a safe, conducive learning environment.
- Issue, inspect, repair, and teach proper use of classroom tools and equipment.
- Ensure ethical testing conditions for all students.
- Continuously evaluate the curriculum to ensure its relevance and effectiveness.
- Oversee classroom equipment maintenance through regular inspections and repairs.
- Promptly communicate supply and equipment needs.
- Pursue continuing education and professional development opportunities.
Additional Duties:
- Participate in instructor training and development programs.
- Assist with ordering and managing classroom materials and tools.
- Cross-train to teach different phases of the program as needed.
- Implement and explore educational best practices.
- Serve as an assistant instructor when necessary.
- Conduct classroom and lab inspections, addressing any maintenance needs.
- Repair tools and equipment as required.
- Provide short-term tutoring for students in need.
- Assist with the implementation and enforcement of safety programs.
- Complete monthly peer reviews and offer constructive feedback.
- Assist with curriculum development and improvements.
- Address student concerns or redirect them to appropriate personnel as needed.
- Be open to taking on leadership roles when required.
