National Director of Career Services – Remote Opportunity 

Responsibilities:

 People Leadership

  • Interview, hire, and train employees in line with our commitment to genuine collaboration and trust.
  • Foster a culture where team members are inspired to excel and contribute to our shared mission.
  • Build strong teams, creating an environment where individuals are valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
  • Maintain timely and accurate computer and manual records to ensure compliance.
  • Establish daily/weekly placement goals, monitor achievement, and provide coaching to address deficiencies.
  • Ensure Career Services team(s) meet and exceed daily and weekly activity goals to achieve placement targets.
  • Schedule employer development activities for Career Services team(s) and set targets for job orders and interviews.

Supervisory Duties

  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities with integrity and discretion, adhering to organizational policies and applicable laws.
  • Provide clear direction, assign tasks, and offer support to ensure team success.
  • Collaborate on performance appraisals, rewards, and disciplinary actions to reflect core values and promote a positive work environment.
  • Audit job orders and activities through Job Order to ensure urgency and quality.
  • Review available graduates with Career Services team(s) and provide follow-up plans and support for each graduate.
  • Conduct audits of all placements and exclusions to confirm compliance.
  • Meet with instructors to discuss employer needs and available openings.
  • Host Program Advisory Board meetings.
  • Represent the Career Services department on the campus management team.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide side-by-side coaching and office visit coaching for Career Services team members.

Problem Resolution

  • Address complaints and resolve challenges with discretion and independent judgment.
  • Utilize analytical skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Navigate complex situations and make sound decisions to maintain a cohesive and high-performing team.
  • Manage and motivate departmental staff to ensure effective and efficient departmental performance, including career advancement opportunities and training.
  • Develop and implement measurements and departmental goals.
  • Partner with compliance to ensure placement verification and adherence to documentation processes and policies.
  • Attend semi-annual graduation events as a mandatory participant.
