Medical Radiography Program Director/Supervisor – Sherman Oaks, CA

A reputable institution is seeking a Medical Radiography Program Director/Supervisor to oversee the academic leadership, faculty management, and operational efficiency of its Medical Radiography Program. This role is vital in shaping the program’s curriculum, ensuring compliance with accrediting bodies, and delivering exceptional educational experiences for students.

Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership:

  • Develop and maintain an innovative Medical Radiography curriculum that aligns with industry standards.
  • Oversee the administration, coordination, and supervision of faculty, students, and externship participants within the program.
  • Establish and maintain clinical education settings and ensure their quality and effectiveness.
  • Create and manage annual class start schedules and program policies.

Accreditation and Compliance:

  • Lead accreditation processes with JRCERT and ABHES, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and submit reports to accrediting and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Organize the program to meet and exceed accreditation requirements.

Faculty and Student Management:

  • Supervise and evaluate program faculty, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
  • Conduct regular faculty meetings, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Support student success by monitoring academic progress, addressing challenges, and coordinating tutorials.
  • Resolve disciplinary issues and foster a positive learning environment.

Curriculum and Program Assessment:

  • Continuously review and update the curriculum to reflect current industry practices.
  • Conduct ongoing program assessments to ensure effectiveness and relevancy.
  • Encourage professional development for faculty and students.

Community and Industry Engagement:

  • Maintain relationships with community members and industry representatives to ensure program alignment with workforce needs.
  • Represent the program in professional and educational organizations.

Administrative Duties:

  • Participate in budget planning and resource allocation.
  • Maintain detailed records of program activities, including meetings, in-service training, and evaluations.

Qualifications:
Education:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or CHEA.
  • ARRT certification or equivalent registration in radiologic sciences or medical radiography.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of instructional experience in radiologic sciences.
  • Proven expertise in curriculum design, program administration, evaluation, and student counseling.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Professional demeanor with a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.
