Radiologic Technology Instructor (Part-Time) – Sherman Oaks, CA
Job Type: Part-Time | Hybrid Work Schedule
Schedule: Various Days | Class times between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Occasional evenings/weekends during busy periods)
Excelon Associates is recruiting on behalf of an accredited allied health institution seeking a Part-Time Radiologic Technology Instructor to join its instructional team. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to educate and mentor future imaging professionals across classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings. The selected candidate will contribute to the program’s continued excellence by promoting technical expertise, professional ethics, and compassionate patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging instruction in radiologic technology theory, lab, and clinical courses following established curricula.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies using multimedia, simulation, and emerging educational technologies.
- Advise and mentor students to support academic and professional growth.
- Participate in curriculum review, assessment of learning outcomes, and accreditation-related activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen instructional quality and enhance student retention and success.
- Maintain scheduled office hours and provide timely feedback to students.
- Participate in departmental meetings, faculty training, and professional development.
- Utilize Canvas (LMS) and other digital platforms to support both in-person and hybrid learning formats.
- Oversee student performance at assigned clinical sites and ensure alignment with program standards.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current California Department of Public Health Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a licensed Radiologic Technologist.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology, Health Science, or Healthcare Administration.
- Prior teaching experience at the college or clinical level.
- Advanced certifications in modalities such as CT, MRI, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy.
- Familiarity with radiology information systems (RIS, PACS, Epic) and HIPAA compliance.
- Experience with developing and assessing student learning outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to teach effectively in a diverse academic environment.
