Schedule:Â Various Days | Class times between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Occasional evenings/weekends during busy periods)
Excelon Associates is recruiting on behalf of an accredited allied health institution seeking a Part-Time Radiologic Technology Instructor to join its instructional team in Nashville, Tennessee. This position offers a unique opportunity to help train and inspire the next generation of imaging professionals. The instructor will engage students through classroom, laboratory, and clinical teaching, while promoting technical excellence, ethical standards, and compassionate patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging instruction in radiologic technology theory, lab, and clinical settings in accordance with established course outlines.
- Develop creative and effective teaching strategies that enhance student learning and critical thinking skills.
- Guide and support students academically and professionally through coaching and mentorship.
- Participate in curriculum development, course revisions, and assessment of student learning outcomes.
- Maintain current knowledge of trends and best practices in radiologic technology and higher education instruction.
- Collaborate with faculty and leadership to improve program effectiveness and student success.
- Participate in accreditation activities, program reviews, and advisory board meetings.
- Utilize the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) and other educational tools to support hybrid and distance education.
- Oversee and evaluate student performance at assigned clinical sites and ensure alignment with program expectations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Active Radiologic Technologist license through the state of Tennessee.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a licensed Radiologic Technologist.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology, Health Science, or Healthcare Administration.
- Previous teaching experience in academic or clinical environments.
- Advanced modality certifications (CT, MRI, Mammography, Radiation Therapy, Nuclear Medicine, etc.).
- Experience with radiology information systems (RIS, PACS, Epic) and HIPAA compliance.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to teach effectively in diverse and inclusive educational settings.
