Financial Aid Representatives

Excelon Associates has an immediate opportunity for a Financial Aid Representative in Erie, PA.  

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Strong working knowledge of Title IV funding compliance regulations is a must. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

Minimum 2 to 4 years experience in student financial aid operations with proficiency in financial aid advising, packaging, and disbursements of Federal Pell Grant and Student Loans.

Must have experience working with the National Student Loan Data System (NDLDS).

  • Outstanding Customer Service Skills
  • Working knowledge of FA websites: NSLDS, FSA, Studentloans.gov, and COD
  • Demonstrable knowledge of principles, practices, methodology, and procedures for the provision of student financial aid advisement.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal Title IV and state financial aid regulations and associated processing procedures.
  • Excellent PC/Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial aid software packages.
  • Excellent mathematical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to set priorities and deadlines and ensure projects are completed.
  • Self-motivated and willing to take ownership of, and quickly resolve, complex issues.
