General Summary
The Executive Director, OT Accreditation and Assessment leads the coordination of OT accreditation processes across multiple campuses and collaborates with Associate Deans, program directors, and institutional assessment teams to ensure alignment with accreditation requirements. This role requires a deep understanding of higher education issues related to quality assurance, learning assessment, and accreditation. The Executive Director reports to the Vice President for Accreditation and works closely with institutional and program leadership to drive quality and performance excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage all OT accreditation submissions, site visits, and strategies across the organization.
- Serve as a liaison to ACOTE, providing guidance to program leadership and managing communications and clarifications.
- Design, develop, implement, evaluate, and improve accreditation operations and processes in collaboration with the accreditation and compliance team.
- Build a strong organizational culture focused on quality assurance and assessment activities for OT programs.
- Guide OT programs through accreditation processes, including self-study activities, FAQs, and mock visits.
- Share responsibility with program leadership to enhance the effectiveness of accreditation processes and submissions.
- Ensure alignment with ACOTE and institutional goals, communicating requirements and expectations effectively.
- Attend ACOTE meetings, training sessions, and other opportunities to stay informed about accreditation changes and advise leadership on proactive compliance measures.
- Conduct accreditation-related research to identify trends and best practices for quality improvement and institutional compliance.
- Ensure adherence to accreditation standards, academic policies, and local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with accreditation and compliance teams to enhance understanding of ACOTE requirements and improve team efficiency.
Travel Requirements
This position requires travel to various campuses to support and oversee accreditation submissions, visits, and compliance efforts.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Doctorate or academic terminal degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in higher education as a senior administrator or faculty member.
- Expertise in managing processes and programs related to OT assessment, accreditation, and compliance.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and supervisory skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and in cross-functional project management environments.
- Effective written and oral communication skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
