Director of Education – Phoenix, AZ

This role is primarily dedicated to enhancing student satisfaction and fostering student growth by leading faculty effectively, enforcing academic guidelines, designing training programs, overseeing teaching methods, and emphasizing student retention. As the Director of Education, your mission will be to ensure that our curriculum remains up-to-date and adequately supported with the necessary technology and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Campus President to realize the school’s vision and philosophy.
  • Supervise both in-class and lab-based curriculum, where applicable.
  • Continually evaluate instructors, implement necessary instructional modifications based on these evaluations, and address any concerns raised in student feedback.
  • Set objectives and plan faculty development initiatives like MaxKnowledge and peer training.
  • Facilitate required continuing education for instructional staff.
  • Organize quarterly faculty meetings to review academics and enhance curriculum and instruction.
  • Develop agreements with related industries, businesses, and high schools to facilitate student transition.
  • Manage instructor scheduling, leave, assignments, and classroom days.
  • Undertake supervisory duties, including planning, delegating, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining staff, and resolving issues.
  • Liaise with the Campus President regarding office activities, specifically any issues related to licensing or accreditation.
  • Work in conjunction with the Registrar to ensure academic policies and procedures comply with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Admissions to offer academic insights for enrollment strategies.
  • Prepare weekly and/or monthly reports as required.
  • Carry out administrative duties such as budgeting and maintaining supplies.
  • Perform any other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized four-year college or university and a minimum of two years of related experience are required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree and at least ten years of relevant experience are strongly preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily an office setting with climate control.
  • Involves extended periods of sitting at a desk or computer terminal.
  • Use of office equipment like calculators, keyboards, and telephones.
  • Some physical activities like stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be necessary.
  • Occasionally work may take place in a classroom or workshop environment.
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds is required.
