Clinical Coordinator/Instructor – Radiologic Technology Program (St. Augustine, FL)
Position Summary:
St. Johns River State College, in partnership with Excelon Associates, is seeking a full-time Clinical Coordinator/Instructor for its Radiologic Technology program in northeast Florida. The Clinical Coordinator/Instructor will be responsible for instructional duties, curriculum development, and clinical coordination to ensure students receive high-quality education and hands-on training in radiologic technology.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This is a 12-month, full-time faculty position requiring a combination of teaching, office hours, professional development, and college service activities. Responsibilities include:
Instructional Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and diverse instruction that accommodates various learning styles and academic levels.
- Commit to continuous improvement of teaching methods and student outcomes.
- Employ student engagement strategies to enhance learning experiences.
- Provide fair and timely accommodations to students with disabilities.
- Maintain regular attendance at scheduled classes and office hours.
College Service Responsibilities:
- Prepare instructional materials, grade assignments, and evaluate student performance.
- Utilize the Learning Management System to manage coursework and feedback.
- Participate in department planning, assessment, and accreditation activities.
- Attend committee meetings, commencement ceremonies, and contribute to college-wide initiatives.
Professional Development Responsibilities:
- Pursue opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills through professional development activities.
Program Coordination Responsibilities:
- Oversee the organization, administration, planning, and accreditation of the Radiologic Technology program.
- Coordinate clinical education experiences with local facilities to ensure program effectiveness.
- Evaluate and maintain compliance with accreditation standards.
Teaching assignments may include both daytime and evening classes and are determined by the Dean of Allied Health.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Radiology or a health-related field preferred.
- Current certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent in radiography.
- Licensed by the State of Florida as a General Radiographer.
- At least two years of experience in radiologic technology, with one year as an educator in a JRCERT-accredited program.
- At least one year of teaching experience in a JRCERT-accredited program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a health-related field.
