Position Summary:

St. Johns River State College, in partnership with Excelon Associates, is seeking a full-time Clinical Coordinator/Instructor for its Radiologic Technology program in northeast Florida. The Clinical Coordinator/Instructor will be responsible for instructional duties, curriculum development, and clinical coordination to ensure students receive high-quality education and hands-on training in radiologic technology.

Duties and Responsibilities:
This is a 12-month, full-time faculty position requiring a combination of teaching, office hours, professional development, and college service activities. Responsibilities include:

Instructional Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and diverse instruction that accommodates various learning styles and academic levels.
  • Commit to continuous improvement of teaching methods and student outcomes.
  • Employ student engagement strategies to enhance learning experiences.
  • Provide fair and timely accommodations to students with disabilities.
  • Maintain regular attendance at scheduled classes and office hours.

College Service Responsibilities:

  • Prepare instructional materials, grade assignments, and evaluate student performance.
  • Utilize the Learning Management System to manage coursework and feedback.
  • Participate in department planning, assessment, and accreditation activities.
  • Attend committee meetings, commencement ceremonies, and contribute to college-wide initiatives.

Professional Development Responsibilities:

  • Pursue opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills through professional development activities.

Program Coordination Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the organization, administration, planning, and accreditation of the Radiologic Technology program.
  • Coordinate clinical education experiences with local facilities to ensure program effectiveness.
  • Evaluate and maintain compliance with accreditation standards.

Teaching assignments may include both daytime and evening classes and are determined by the Dean of Allied Health.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Radiology or a health-related field preferred.
  • Current certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent in radiography.
  • Licensed by the State of Florida as a General Radiographer.
  • At least two years of experience in radiologic technology, with one year as an educator in a JRCERT-accredited program.
  • At least one year of teaching experience in a JRCERT-accredited program.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a health-related field.
