Campus Director – Colorado Springs, CO

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Campus Director to lead a growing educational institution with approximately 650 students. The campus offers a range of programs, including Auto, HVAC, Medical Assisting, Medical Billing and Coding, IT, and Electrical Programs. This position presents a unique opportunity for a professional to join the campus a couple of months before the current Campus Director’s retirement to assist in onboarding the new director and ensure a smooth leadership transition. The Campus Director will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing faculty and staff, maintaining student engagement, and ensuring that academic standards and program quality are consistently upheld.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management: Provide overall leadership and direction for the campus, fostering a positive and collaborative environment for both staff and students. Lead and support faculty members in delivering high-quality instruction across all programs, ensuring alignment with the institution’s mission and goals.
  • Onboarding & Transition Support: Work closely with the incoming Campus Director to facilitate a seamless transition. This includes familiarizing the new director with campus operations, staff, and student needs, as well as ensuring the continuity of educational programs and policies.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations of the campus, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and maintenance of facilities. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to educational standards.
  • Program Development & Quality Assurance: Collaborate with department heads to monitor and enhance existing programs, ensuring they meet industry standards and student needs. Regularly review curriculum and teaching methods to ensure continuous improvement and student success.
  • Student Success & Retention: Oversee student recruitment, retention, and support services, ensuring students have the resources they need to succeed. Implement initiatives to enhance student engagement, retention rates, and overall satisfaction.
  • Staff Development: Hire, train, and evaluate faculty and administrative staff. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities, encouraging a culture of growth and accountability.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between the campus and external stakeholders, including industry partners, prospective students, and community organizations. Represent the campus in meetings and activities to strengthen its presence and reputation in the community.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely reporting to senior leadership and regulatory agencies. Maintain compliance with all relevant accrediting bodies, and implement best practices in academic administration.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in higher education administration, with a demonstrated track record of leadership and operational management in a campus setting.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in managing programs such as Auto, HVAC, Medical Assisting, Medical Billing and Coding, IT, and Electrical Programs.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, faculty, students, and external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed choices under pressure.
  • A Master’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, but significant relevant experience will be considered.
  • Prior experience with leadership transitions and onboarding new executives is highly desirable.
