Key Responsibilities

  • Perform market analysis to uncover potential for educational programs within the skilled trades sector.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, standards, and tech advancements to pinpoint innovation and growth opportunities.
  • Formulate and implement strategic plans to bolster domestic market presence in the USA.
  • Craft persuasive proposals and presentations that resonate with client needs.
  • Handle project management for business development activities across a diverse client base.
  • Offer strategic sales and development support to the Vice President of Client Solutions.
  • Collaborate in team efforts to forge partnerships and actualize business opportunities.
  • Work with internal teams, including Accounting, Marketing, and Operations, to guarantee flawless project delivery.
  • Establish and nurture essential relationships with business stakeholders and partners.
  • Scout for alternative projects and initiatives within skilled trades education.
  • Partner with internal parties to assess and prepare business justifications for projects.

Requirements

  • A champion of innovation and eco-friendly practices.
  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field such as engineering, economics, or business, or possesses equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years experience in business development, with a preference for backgrounds in skilled trades.
  • Proficient in managing complex projects with multiple components and teams.
  • Utilizes technical knowledge to convey offerings to potential clientele effectively.
  • Familiarity with technical aspects of welding, plumbing, electrical, HVAC/R, and sustainability is advantageous.
  • Proficient in legal principles related to commercial contract negotiations.
  • Aptitude for assimilating complex, technical information swiftly.
  • Experienced in creating strategic plans for intricate projects involving numerous stakeholders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal capabilities to foster and maintain professional relationships.
  • Innovative problem-solving abilities to address present and prospective obstacles.
  • Independent, motivated, with an optimistic outlook and eagerness to pursue new business avenues.
  • Availability for business travel as necessitated by role demands.
