The client is seeking a Bursar to oversee the daily financial operations of their educational institution in Delray Beach. Responsibilities include managing accounts, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing financial reports. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong financial acumen, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervising daily cash flow management.
  2. Handling accounts payable and receivable.
  3. Maintaining accurate records of tuition fees and receipts.
  4. Generating regular expense reports.
  5. Developing and managing the annual budget.
  6. Conducting cost and productivity analyses.
  7. Reviewing employment contracts and service terms.
  8. Designing and updating financial procedures.
  9. Coordinating with local authorities and school leadership.
  10. Providing performance reports and identifying investment/funding opportunities to school management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Bursar.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant software.
  • Strong financial management abilities.
  • Knowledge of accounting procedures and best practices.
  • Familiarity with budget preparation and cash flow management.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Certification in School Administration is advantageous.
